Context
The Paris-Rocquencourt Research Center of INRIA
(French National Institute for Informatics and Automatics)
recently joined efforts with
the Department of Sanskrit Studies at University of Hyderabad and the NLP Department of the
Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha at Tirupati, within a joint team
in Sanskrit Computational Linguistics. The joint team will hold its first Workshop at the end of
October 2007 in Paris. It has been decided to open the meeting to outside researchers, and to profit
of the workshop to organize the First International Sanskrit Computational Linguistics Symposium
at this occasion. The École Pratique des Hautes Études, through its chair
"Sources et Histoire de la Tradition Sanskrite", and UMR 7528 "Mondes iranien et indien",
contribute to the organisation of this event.
